Locked

Task Bar

By nhiep_nguyen ·
I used to have the TaskBar in two lines to accommodate all my icons, quick launch, tray etc...
I was working fine until lately, when I login now it displays the taskbar in one line only. I then extend it to two lines; it will stay with two lines untill the next boot, then one line again.
I tried to lock the taskbar after extending it to two lines to no avail.
Anyone has an idea of what is causing this strange behavour?
Thanks in advance

are you running and anti-spyware/anti-virus programs that are locking the regestry? I know I've run into some strange things with 'SpySweeper ' and some of thier Shields. When I have things that are not applying on reboot I unplug from the network (just to be on the safe side) disable all my anti-virus/anti-spyware (includeing automatic startup items) reboot, make my change, reboot again to see if changes last, then enable all my anti-virus/anti-spyware, and reboot one last time.

I have done as advised, (closing Norton AntiVirus and Microsoft Anti Spyware, disabling all start up items in msconfig)but the taskbar always returns to one line at each reboot.

I must have a problem with the display as a whole because now I do not have the Language Bar neither on the desktop nor on the taskbar, although I see the space reserved for it on the taskbar and I can change the language by pressing Alt letf shift.
Is there a way to repair or reset the monitor display?
Thank you
