How do I remove MS IM from my task bar, and how can I keep it from returning to the task bar?

Uninstall it from SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL>ADD/REMOVE Programs. Make sure MSN IM is declicked. Then, use START>RUN>msconfig and go to the startup tab and disable it from starting up. Now kill the task if it is running. CTRL-ALT-DEL>Tak Manager. I thin it is msnmsg. Now go into C:\Program FIles\Messenger? and delete all the files in there. It will say it can not delete all. Fine. Reboot. Now finish off deleting those files and the folder itself.
Sorry for the typos. Had to type quick.

Go to Start | Run and type in msconfig and press enter. Click on the Startup tab. Find msmsgs in the list of starting programs and uncheck it. If you have full blown Outlook on your system it will still start everytime you start Outlook.
