taskbar buttons

I have managed to eradicate teh task bar buttons which show when you open a program.
Initially it seemed like a good thing, less clutter, but now I am running more and more simulatneous programs and having the taskbar buttons would be good to keep track of them…

I do not know how I managed to get rid of them, I also seemd to have managed to have about 30 language toolbars “ticked” when you right click the taks bar and selct toolbars..

Any suggestions?
