TCP/IP

by nroberts . Updated 25 years ago

I am configuring a laptop for dial-up networking. That part was a success. The problem I’m having is getting IP to work. Once I authenicate through our network after dialing in, I should receive a DHCP address. If I try to ping a server, I get amessage about Windows Socket Interface error 0, or if I type winipcfg, I get failed to initialize Winsock. I have un-installed and re-installed IP. Ran some Winsock update for Win95 and for what it was worth, tried re-installing Dial up networking. Any suggestions besides reloading Windows?
