TCP/IP blocked

By frank.vrba ·
I have a customer's server that needs some help talking on it's network. It quit Friday afternoon. Here's the symptoms:

I can ping the server from the network but the server can't ping anyone on the network except the gateway.

I tried different IP addresses and it works the same. Server address is, gateway is, one client is Client can ping everything, server can ping gateway or itself but not client. Firewall can be on or off -- no difference. I can install a program from the server but I cannot run that application if it requires access from the server to the client since the server can't see or contact any client. The routing table is correct. It also doesn't work from safe mode with networking.

Appreciate any suggestions someone may have.

Is DNS correct?
ipconfig /all - check subnet
setup different vlan for your servers and workstations. Set static IPS for servers and firewalls etc and dhcp for workstations (set sufficent scope for static IPs)

good luck

if there is more than one nic in the box, also try checking the binding order.
