To update you will have to reinstall the networking configuration, uninstall thru network neighborood from the control panel.
To update use the Internet Connection Wizard, which will guide you thru the process.Hope this helps

I'm not sure that you need to update your TCP/IP, I would think that your TCP/IP settings are more the problem. Right-click on Network Neighborhood and click Properties. Click on the TCP/IP adapter and click properties. Verify that everthing is set right here.

I have a Win NT DHCP Server. When I try to ping any machine, returns a error message " 10091". I can not run Winipcfg that?s returns a message error too.

Can you be more specific about the situation? Is there a server involved, or is this a peer-to-peer network?

Try this: delete Ipx and just have TCP/IP on all the machines involved. This will force the communication to occur using TCP/IP. I have encountered this several times and have resolved it this way. Good luck.

You probably are trying to run a small peer to peer network, right? If so, you need to assign IP addresses to your computers. Once your IPs are assigned, you will need to ensure that NetBIOS over IP is running (in the advanced tab of the TCP/IP setup).

Now, you will need to confirm your connection. Go to a Command Prompt under windows and type in PING other-ip-address. You should get back responses from the other PC. If you don't then you will need to probably reinstall TCP/IP and the latest TCP/IP stack patches from Microsoft.

Once all that is working, you MIGHT be able to see the computers in the Network Neighborhood. If you still can't, I would recommend setting up NetBEUI as a second protocol to handle the name serving, etc. It's really simple to install and has almost no options.

Good luck!
