How do you set ip ports, I’m asking because I’m wanting to setup my intranet on port 8000 and set a couple of other ports for other things.

    Thanks

This question is like asking “how do I wire this house?” It depends on your Operating System and your software, and what you want to accomplish. Then you have to make sure you configure your routers and clients correctly………..

Upon start up select the CMOS panel by using F2 or Delete and see if it is possible to change the ports.

IP ports are set with in the Internet Server software. Most definitly NOT the CMOS. If you are using IIS4 set them in the “Default Web Site Properties”

Setting the port number is a TCP/IP property in your specific webserver software. The previous answer is correct for IIS4. It is NOT in the CMOS!
