TCPIP Question

By rminter ·
Setting up additional NT 4.0 Servers running TCPIP connected through cabletron routers. I'm using Class A IP scheme. I'm able to ping both ethernet interfaces on the routers, but nothing behind the routers such as servers, workstations. Any input isgreatly appreciated

Make sure the cabletron channels are set for data and not voice.

It sounds like you haven't defined any routes within the routers. I'm not familiar with Cabletron syntax, but you need to tell the router that packets destined for Subnet A need to go out InterfaceA and so on.

Probably the place to start is to telnet into the router and print the routing table.
You should see a line for each interface (at the very least).

Hope that helps you get started.
