I am hoping someone has an answer to my dilemma.
I have a TDK 440N DVD R/RW drive that has stopped recognizing CD disks.
I have tried using a bootable disk and it will not boot to the disk.
I have upgraded the firmware.
I have re-installed the drivers.
I have replaced the ribbon cable.
I removed and then re-installed it.
It shows up with the correct designation and will burn DVD?s with no qualms but cd?s just show as an empty volume.
If anyone can shed some light on this I would greatly appreciate it.
