teaming nics in win 2k pro

By mbocchini ·
i am trying to team 2 intel nics in win 2k pro workstation.
both nics have a seperate static ip and are connected to a router. i have read about software that can team them together so they will look like a single ip but i cant seem to find any?
first is this possible to do?
second can it be done without 3rd party software?
third if 3rd party software is necessary what would you recommend?

Mark, If you go to Intel's website, you will be able to download their software for teaming NIC's. Once you have the software it is really easy. The only problem you may run into is the type of teaming your router supports so you may want to check that first.
