Where are all the experience techs?

by ntekkie In reply to Tech Doofus

Has anyone noticed how hard it is to get good technical service? Is this because most of us over the age of 30 no longer have jobs? Could it be due to employers unable to fill those lower technical positions with competent personnel? Have I watched Andy Rooney too much?

Oh well, just things to ponder.

Can you even imagine a time when the computer being down only affected programmers and administration staff?

Recent email from a government helping hand:

From: Government Help to Raise Salary Survey [mailto:surveys@animal.in]

We've all heard about jobs moving overseas and Americans left with the low paying service jobs. People who used to make $15 - $30 an hour are now stuck making $6 or $7 an hour. Untrue!
?Educate people for jobs which exist"

? President George W Bush

Untrue????

I happen to be one of the untrue people, who does have the training and skills to work in the professional world, but yet unhired by any of the employers claiming they can not find skilled workers. Therefore, I have to beg for the lower paying jobs because I am over-qualified. Who do you think your factious advertisement appeals? I think you should do more fact finding as you are insulting some of your audience.

Thank you for the BS, but I already have one that is now considered obsolete.
