Tech schools: "to be or not to be"

By jameyrussell ·
I have recently made a decision to enter the tech world. I have a B.S. but have decided I don't have any marketable skills. I have been researching the MCSE,MCSD, Oracle, ect. Although I am considering attending a Tech school, I have been disappointed to find out there is very little info regarding them. Am I qualified to enter directly into an Oracle DBA certification? Certain schools seem to think so without any prior knowledge about UNIX and the like.
Is this true? Can I get a job or internship with this certification alone? Please help. Any info will be appreciated!

You can definitely enter the job market with just a certification, however, as with any career, all the background or prerequisite info that you can get is valuable. I would bet my hat that you would be more valuable as a 3 dimensional employee thanone that only can work in one direction( or do only one thing). Email me with the area you are in, and I will give you the job market info and salaries.
