I just recently was comparing search results for “Vista and CD/DVD drive problems” in the TechRepublic Forums and Google. I was distressed when Google found the exact forums post when I appended “techrepublic” to the end of the search string where as I still can’t find the topic through the TechRepublic search function.
Should TechRepublic partner with Google to search the site and forums to improve the usability of the site? What good is all of the users, posts, and forums if you cannot find the exact information you are looking for?
I guess I’ll stick with Google for now since it does a superior job but does anyone agree that the TechRepublic Search needs an upgrade?
