Riya - Photo Search Alpha released

by tejaaa In reply to Tejas' Interesting Links

Riya - Photo Search
ooh wooo, Riya (Ojos) is finally made to the Internet. It?s still in Alpha release though and I am still waiting for my invite . I laughed at the pop up box I saw at the ?Sign In? page. This can be seen below.
?
Yes, I will be waiting for Firefox support, need that desperately. Don?t use IE now except for Netbanking (stupid bank systems only want to work efficiently with Firefox). Munjal, you might want to change the email address on this pop up box, it still points out to ojos-inc.com where as http://riya.com/html_download.html?links to alpha@riya.com . I think I am going to love this new service.
OK, waiting for my invite now!<p><div class="blogdisclaim"><a href="http://www.itejas.com/index.php/2005/10/23/riya_photo_search_alpha_released">This post originally appeared on an external website</a></div>

Michael Arrington gets a peak at Riya

by tejaaa In reply to Tejas' Interesting Links

I read Michael Arrington's post on Riya. Sounds like Riya is round the corner now. I have been waiting it for a long time. Reading Michael's post I learned a bit more about Riya that I did not know already. Wow's it sounds more and more impressive than ever. Munjal Shah (CEO) tells us that they are preparing their system to allow access to 10 or so people tommorrow.

Ah, noticed that Robert Scoble is linking to Michael's post as well and he looks impressed. Can't wait to get my hands on this myself.<p><div class="blogdisclaim"><a href="http://www.itejas.com/index.php/2005/10/27/michael_arrington_gets_a_peak_at_riya">This post originally appeared on an external website</a></div>

Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager 2006 Trial Software
?As the latest member of the Windows Server System family, Microsoft? System Center Data Protection Manager (DPM) is a server software application that is designed from the ground up to optimize disk-based backup and recovery. Backing up data to disk provides the fastest way to recover data lost to user error or software and hardware corruption. With Data Protection Manager, recovering information is as simple as browsing a share and copying directly from the Data Protection Manager to the production server.Data Protection Manager provides several unique capabilities:
Rapid & Reliable Recovery- DPM enables IT administrators and end users to recover data in minutes instead of hours it takes to recover from tapes.

Welcome to Softwareandtools.com / I am not gone

by tejaaa In reply to Tejas' Interesting Links

Hello All,
I just wanted to let you know that I am not gone. I am here busy with my personal life. My parents are here from India for a well deserved vacation. So having a good time with them and this is supposed to last for nearly a month.

But in the mean while there was one project that was going on in my mind for a while and it came out in the form on a new site called Softwareandtools.com . Software And Tools is a site for software and tool reviews. We will be also be discussing about Windows OS. We are planning to do demo video of new software and tools along with podcasts in the future. So wish us Good luck. I will be talking more on this in the coming weeks. Mind you, I will still be blogging here.

Earlier I was waiting to perfect the skins and templates for the new site, but then I realised that I will just start with what I have instead of delaying the whole project. I am no programmer, so have very limited web development knowledge. But if anybody is interested in offering some help and showing their expertise than please let me know. My email address is on the left hand side of the blog.

I also want to invite writers for the new site. So please visit http://www.softwareandtools.com site and see if you are interested in writing for the various blogs on that site.

Software And Tools is a work in progress for now, so please be patient for the time being.<p><div class="blogdisclaim"><a href="http://www.itejas.com/index.php/2005/11/03/welcome_to_softwareandtools_com_i_am_not">This post originally appeared on an external website</a></div>
