Telnet from connection sharing

i have 2 win 98 machine. on my first machine i have connected modem & am dialing to internet.
i have enabled internet connection sharing in WIN 98. because of this am able to browse from my second machine. but am not able to use telnet from my second machine.


how do i perform telnet on such connnection sharing ?
if this is not possible in win 98 , can we do it on win 2k proffessional ??

I had a simmilar problem, and in my view you don't need to go to W2k. I used a 3rd party modem sharing utility called "Rideway" (download at itserv.com) In this app, (and it should be the case in all of them) you must just ensure that you open up port 23 (default port for Telnet). This should work fine.
