Telnet not working on default port ??

i am not able to connect to fedora machine using telnet default port.
but i am able to connect by using SMTP and SSL port nos.

and i tried by disabling the firewall too...

plz help me

Why telnet?

This is going to be more difficult as time goes on because telnet is generally disabled by default anywhere it can be. Eventually, you won't be able to find anything like a current telnet client.

Why disable a firewall? Just open the telnet port. After that, you need to configure security to allow you to actually connect to anything through the port.
