temp folder

By aprilstar ·
I am trying to convert some avi's into vob files using nero but when I am ready to do this an error message keeps on coming back saying that my temp folder (c:\documents and settings\user\local settings\temp) has 2766mb available but 3885mb is needed. Is there a way around this? Is there a way I can increase the capacity of the temp folder.

2 things..

by Jaqui In reply to temp folder

1) this would be better asked in the TQ&A section.
2) folder space is limited by only 2 things:
a disk quota application
or
actual free space on partition.

try only converting one file at a time.

ya u can increase the capacity of ur temp folder. to do this go to start>run and type 'cmd' command prompt window will open. in that window type
'fsutil file createnew "%temp%\big.bin" 6000000000' and hit the enter key. (*to do this u should loged in with administrative rights). Then go to start>run and type '%temp%' and hit the enter key. delete the big.bin. let me know the result.....
