Can I delete all the files that resides in c:\windows\temp?

Yes you can delete the temp files,c:\windows\temp is another area in the directory whereas programs store the files,WINdows 98 will use the clean up utility to delete temp files,they can hog up disk space on the hard drive

You can delete everything in the temp folder but the best way to do this is by starting your computer in a DOS environment and then deleteing the files. Windows uses the temp folder while it is running and you can create registry problems if you certain files. You can check out Microsoft's Knowledge Base at microsoft.com/support and look for article Q131944 or just search the net for this article number.

If you're not familiar with Dos, then do not use it to delete anything.

Go ahead and empty the folder from windows, just make sure you do not delete the folder itself.
