temp internet

i have emptied my temp internet folder, but when i check properties it says it is 88mb,is this full of hidden files? if so how do i empty it?

Hi, you don't say how you emptied the folder. The correct way to empty the folder is in IE, select Tools, Internet Options, Delete Files & then OK.

This will empty the cache in full.

Actually if you have corrupted files within your Temporary Internet Files folder, then they will NOT be removed though Internet Explorer (because IE does not read the corrupted files properly).

I recommend that you use Windows Explorer and go to Tools --> Folder Options --> View and check "show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "hide files extensions" --> OK etc.

You should then be able to browse on over to your Temporary Internet Files folder and remove all the hidden folders and their contents. There's no problem with doing it this way, and in fact it tends to resolve many of the problems that crop up with browsing the web.
