Temporary Internet Files

By pohga ·
I noticed that temporary internet files tend to accumulate in NT roaming profiles after some time although I have already set the IE option for the amount of disk space to be used at the minimum. As such, the user profiles grow to a huge size & it takes a long time to login. Is there a way to prevent the temporary internet files from building up?

In Internet options, in the security section of the advanced settings, check the box to delete temp int. files when browser is closed.

This will clear the files everytime the user exits IE. Therefore they won't build up.

Move the folder of the temporary Internet Files to another folder. Normaly its in winnt\profiles\username\Temporary Internet Files

Move it with Extras\Internet options\common
in the middle of the window take the button on the right. Move folder button and bring it for example to C:\temp (the name Temporary Internet Files will be craeted by the system)

Sorry if the introduction is not correct, but I have only a german NT at the moment.
