Temporary Internet Files on Terminal Ser

    Locked

    by pclifford ·

I am running NT TSE(citrix MF1.8) with IE 5 installed. Currently, the temporary internet files go to the folder in within each users’ profile. I know the files can be sent to another location(on a larger drive, in a common area hopefully), but each time you do this you must reboot the system to save that change. There has got to be a better way!! HELP ME!

I use custom policies to place my folders where they need to go. There are some .adm files to use with poledit.exe that come with the (IEAK downloadable from MS)I beleive one is already written for moving the T.I. Files. You may also find the policy at http://www.thethin.net along with a lot of other good stuff (go to download section – heck, go to every section). Some words of caution, I recall reading where the policy won’t work pre-SP5 on regular NT machines anyway, I can only assume the same is true for TSE. Gotta love TSE!

If you arent using policies on your Citrix server and want to use them separately from those on your network, follow the instructions left as a post on “Policies, can I use them on an NT workstation?”.
