Ten words or less: "Internet Explorer 7 is..."

By Jay Garmon Contributor ·
In ten words or less, complete the following sentence: "Internet Explorer 7 is..."

I'll start with "...the best imitation of Firefox I've seen in a while."

Come on, it's Microsoft Internet Explorer. Do you think IE will ever be secure? MS needs to start from scratch both on the OS level as well as IE.

I tried IE 7 for a couple of hours this week and realized they had just ripped off the features I like about FF -- tabbed browsing and RSS reader.

What I love is when IE users claim IE 7 is so innovative. It's really just an endorsement of FF.

Did you try to remove it?

Don't try this on any Mission Critical Box as you'll trash IE at the very least and more times than not the OS as well.

You've got to try Opera 9 - Beta1.

by sleepin'dawg In reply to You took mine, Jay!

I've never seen a beta quite like this fast, secure, glitch free and with Bit Torrent built right in. You no longer need a client like Azureus and to top it off it seems to run faster. I've been using Opera 8.54 off and on but this just blows me away. I've never seen such a clean beta version of anything like this is. I am still evaluating it but so far, I have not seen one hiccup and that has been since the 23rd. I open Opera intending to try it for only an hour but hen end up using it all day for everything. Some beta; some browser. Try it, you'll like it.
