Terminal Server and shadowing

By dgates_1 ·
We have recently added an additional server to our setup. It does not show up in program neighborhood. It also does not show up as an available server in citrix server administrator. It did show up on the PDC, however it was a "workstation or server" and not a server. Was it configured incorrectly? Is it necessary to reinstall to add this stand alone server to the domain? Users can log in to the server and use the apps ( apparently via the IP address) and it can be pinged. WE can not shadowfrom it. tHe ICA client is installed.

I assume from what you say that the IP address and subnet mask of the new machine are correct for the network your on. The only thing I can think of is to make sure that your new server is correctly set up to join the domain. Right click network neighborhood, go to properties, on the Identification tab click the Change button, and make sure the correct domain name is inserted.

Good luck.

This is definatelly a wierd problem... Have you tried to reapply the NT Term Server SP6? If you have I would suggest removing it from the domain, by going to Network Properties change the server from domain to to workgroup reboot the server and repeat except rejoin the Domain you will have to provide the Admin user name and Password.

One more step. I left out, from another server make sure you delete the existing computer account before you rejoin the domain.

Hope that helps....
