Terminal Server Client & Win98

by bromilowjb . Updated 25 years, 4 months ago

I am trying to connect to a win2k terminal server on the Internet from a win98se behind ms Proxy 2.0 running on a winnt4.0 svr. I have opened the TCP port 3389 on the proxy server.

When I use the Client Connection Manager 5.0 in win98 to try to connect, I get disconnect messages like the ‘TS has ended the connection’ or ‘because of a network error, the session will be disconnected.’

Now I installed the same Term Svr Client on my proxy server and can connect to the term svr across theInternet.

What gives, is there a problem with win98 and the terminal services client?
I am not using citrix.
