I wonder if it is possible to have automatic printer redirection for a Terminal Server that is not on the domain of the client machine?
I work for a small company, and we have leased a remotely hosted server (Windows 2003 running Terminal Services). This server is not a member of any domain – it’s just a member of a it’s own workgroup. We want to offer clients the ability to log onto the server from any machine and run the hosted software, and to print documents which will then get redirected onto their local/network printers. However, the server cannot be joined to any of their domains (obvious), so no printer mapping is taking place.
Is there a solution for this? I would imagine that it’s not an uncommon question, although I don’t seem to have had much luck in Googling it.
