    Terminal server suppress desktop icons

    by bam86_be ·

On a W2K terminal server, I want to suppress certain defaults icons from the userr’s desktop like “My documents”, “My computer”, “Internet Explorer” that are not “shortcuts” in any “Document and settings” sub-folder.
For the same reason, I want to suppress some of the shorcuts in the “start/programs” folder.
This could be done by a login script.
    As anyone an idea ?

This can be done by a login script, but the easiest way is establishing a Group Policy. You can establish the restrictions easily there. create an OU and add al users to this OU. Then add a GP, go to Administrative Templates under User configuration. There you have all you need to apply the restrictions.
