Terminal Server Timeouts of(VPN)

A client is timing out during terminal server connetions over an internet VPN. Are there any client or server settings that would help with the connection??

Setup: client house>VPNsoftware(sshsentnel)>256DSl connection>internet>256DSl connection with cisco DSl router>SoHO VPN router>Terminal Server on corporate lan.
