Are you using Group Policy? or Local Security Policy to enforce the printer redirection on the TS box?

You can force local printers to be pushed throught the RDP session by going to computer, admin templates, windows components, Terminal Services, Printer Redirection and enable or disable the policy based on what you want.

On another note in the RDP connection settings, have you checked the Local resources box to ensure to bring over local printers and devices?

hope this helps.

exact drivers

by Curacao_Dejavu In reply to Terminal Service Printing

You need to install the exact same drivers on the TS as on the pc in order for the TS so see it and to redirect it.
(note 32 bit drivers, since the server is w2k3)
seeing something else: since you reinstalled the driver, you could do a rollback of the driver that should do the trick also.

Second above two

by maclovin In reply to Terminal Service Printing

I second the above two, make sure the driver was the exact same one, and also be sure the local resources option for "Printers" under the RDP connection client is set properly.

This is usually what causes my users issues.
