Terminal Services 2003

By mgonzales ·
I have a client that want to run Windows 2003 with Terminal Services. However my research shows that I need a seperate server to run the licensing portion of this product. Is this indeed the case or can I run bot on the same server? Any supporting documentation would be appreciated.

Thanks in advanced.

The above URL details the requirements for a Windows 2003 Terminal Server and a Windows 2003 Licensing server. The licensing model has changed from Windows 2000 to Widows 2003 as Windows 2003 server runs Terminal server in an application server mode. In response to your question: Yes I believe the licensing server needs to be a different server than the Terminal server itself.
Cheers!
