Terminal Services: remote administation

by quoch . Updated 24 years, 5 months ago

Hi All,

Currently I have terminal services installed in remote administration mode. Now I would like to give normal user (with log on locally right is on) not in administators group. I have tried myself and I am not successful. I get the error “You have not right to logon this session”.

When I add this user to administrator group then every thing will be OK. But I do not want this way to give the administator right to this user. It seems that the system allows only the user in administrator group to logon only, isn’t it?

I just need to give 1 normal user to use terminal service, so that I am very sad if I have to change TS to application server mode.

Do you think that I have to install TS license server to give this service to a normal user?

In case I have to use application server mode then how can I obtain this license and how is the price per user? Or I just need to activate like windows XP?

Please help me urgently, I am requested to have a solution on Wednesday this week.

Thank you very much.
Regards,
Quoc.
