I have a new Windows 2000 Terminal Services server that I added to my network. I have activated the licensing and everything works great…EXCEPT I receive an Error after each reboot (Event 29). The Licensing services will not start automatically,but will start after I go into Services and start it manually… I don’t want to keep doing this becuase my servers are scheduled to automatically reboot periodically.
The event log states that the Licensing Service needs to be installed on a domain controller. The problem is that I still have NT 4.0 Servers on my network and the PDC is an NT 4.0 machine.
Is there a registry setting that can be changed for the TS Licensing server to look upon itself? I want to avoid having to upgrade myPDC to Win2K if at all possible.
