Where I work

by Tony Hopkinson In reply to Testing in s/w industry

testers get paid as much as developers.
So my mate who 's who's senior tester, gets the same pay scale as me the senior developer. This is because he needs to be good to find the bugs in my code!

Where do you want to work?. In the UK the salary can vary by a 100% dependant on where the job is.

As a tester, aside from the actual ability to do it well, domain knowledge is key. If you don't understand what the software is used for all you will do is find buttons that don't work.
