I originally posted this in another thread, but I think it should stand on its own. There may be a cure for the multiple-post!!!
I’ve started using the Print screen to browse a thread, returning to the normal view to reply to individual posts. Recently, I submitted a reply and got the usual random 404 page. But this time, instead of hitting Back and submitting the post again, I tried to refresh the page. I was then asked if I wanted to resubmit the post data and selected No.
I changed tabs back to the Print screen and refreshed. Lo and behold, there was my new post, right where it should be!
It seems that posts are being submitted properly, but at random intervals the “Page not Found” is the confirmation page. To me, the obvious workaround is to browse/refresh the Print screen in one tab and submit replies from the original tab.
Bug fix? Doug?
