All of the security schemas or firewalls in the world cannot withstand the Social Engineering Hack.
Certainly, we are just ignorant fools if we don’t put in place the best “TECHNOLOGICAL” Solutions.
Security is not a technology, it is a philosophy.
With that in mind, how do we get our current employee mass to ‘buy in’ to our corporate need for security? Can we build a better group of vigilant security minded employees ? Can we incent the wistle blower ? ( that employee who notices a security breach )
What about the very good employee who wants to be more productive and can really do his/her work better in a “WIRELESS” mode; who brings in an access point from home and attaches it to the end of the cat5. Not for a malicious act, but just to be more mobile in the office area. Suddenly a breach in security !!!!
Just some musings; got any suggestions ?
