The “Evil Empire”. Did it every really leave?

Everyone by now knows how Russia has attacked Georgia, and has clearly stated that the boarders of Georgia no longer exist.

Now they have made a direct threat to Poland.

Is Russia going to push things and start a major conflict? They have shown their support for clearly dangerous countries like Iran. Iran is a treat to the world, yet Russia supports and protects them. What does this make Russia?

Is anyone else getting nervous about this?
