the file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable?

Hi,
I have an IBM x235 server function as a file server that running on 2003 Srv sp2 OS + a DS400 as a storage. I believe it has been running for more than 5 year. Early this year we are getting repeating event id error 55 – ‘The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume Dept&User’.

We have run check disk for several time but error 55 still appear. Our IBM support has come & comfirm that our DS is OK. I have backup the data & format the disk & make a fresh installation on the server & copy back the data. For a while it is OK … but on 16th June again we got the error 55 message. Fyi.. our DS is raid 5ee. If not h/ware & window problem.. any idea what might it be.

Any idea to solve this is very much appreciated.

Regards… zaki.
