Here’s the situation. One of my clients has a file, or rather some text from a file, that keeps opening when she launches Word 97. The strange thing is though, the file the text is coming from doesn’t exist (I searched for, and removed the only files that had anything related to the text that was appearing in the new document).
When Word starts it opens a new document as “Document 1” indicating a new file, not an existing one. I’ve checked the Office Startup template and Normal.dot. I checked the shortcut path. No macros launching either. I put in a “/n” switch on her shortcut to prevent ANY files from launching, but this one has me stumped.
