Rather than go into all the details of the interview process we’ll just cut to the chase.
I met with two shift managers and the HR person for the 3 – 4 openings they were looking to fill. During the interview everything appeared to be very positive. I.E. I was asked if I could start immediately, was I flexible in work schedules, was also asked if I was flexible in work assignments and the answer was yes to all questions. I left with the impression that it was a done deal. The interview team told me that it was going to take a few days because they had to through the main office and then to the recruiting agency to finalize the start date. They said for me not to worry if they didn’t get back to me in a few days.
I called the recruiting agency a few days later and found out that the hiring company “decided to pass.”
No reason was given even though the job appeared to be a perfect match for the company and me. The recruiting agency was a bit miffed and feels that it’s a waste of time dealing with this company’s open positions. What do you think?
