The memory could not be "read"/"written"

The instruction at "0x77fcb2b9" referenced memory at "0x00720070". The memory could not be "read". Click ok to terminate the program.

Some time "read" could be "written".
I searched MS KB. The related articles only talk about a shell32.dll fix for manipulating large file, and MS claims this is fixed on service pack. I have service pack 2, and the file version for shell32.dll is good.
Fortunately I have two PCs to work on, otherwise the problem is a big deal for me.
