I recently reloaded winxp pro on my laptop. I have 2 local accounts admin and my own. I hadn’t loaded any new software after ms office 2003 and avg antivirus, a day before this error appeared.
“the sytem cannot log you on now because the domain JHLAPTOP is not available.”
This comes up when trying to log onto my laptop – jhlaptop. I have tried both local accounts. the laptop is not now, or has ever been a member of a domain.
I’m unable to log into windows using any of the others options, last know good config, safe mode etc, coz all ask for a username and password. I know the password for admin is right, coz i can use it to access the \windows folder when trying to repair.
Can anyone help with this? I really dont want to have to reload windows.
