I am having a little problem finding out when to use the different recovery tools in Microsoft Windows 2000. The recovery tools are:
– Safe Mode
– Emergency Repair Disk
– Recovery Console
– Last known good configuration
Here are some cases:
If I install a SCSI driver and when I start my computer I get a blue screen. Which tool can I use here? Can I use safe mode and remove the device or do I use recovery console and disable the driver or do I use last known good configuration.
Somne say the Emergency Repair Disk can only be used for repairing system files. Then what about recovery console.
I am in dilemma here. Please help.
