Just a reminder during the upcoming holidays... Buyer Beware!

My personal unfavorite? Prince of Persia: Warrior Within.

The worst?

by hrstil In reply to The worst games ever?

That must be 'the Secret of Arendarvon Castle' or something like that.
It was a CBRPG on the spectrum 128+.
After typing 500 zillion lines of coding myself
the game didn't work........

Arghh that must have been in the mid eighties, I still dream about it after a long and hard day at the office

Ah, I remember

Spending hours typing in code (BASIC, no less) into my Timex-Sinclair...

Finishing everything...

And watching it not run.

Ah, those were the days...

Ah, I remember

I remember typing code into an Apple ][+ from Nibble magazine. Basic wasn't bad but spotting errors in Hex was a real PAIN.

A Breeze compared to....

You lucky people.....I'm old enough to remember punching machine code (and data) onto hundreds of little pieces of cardboard with a mechanical hole puncher...debug THAT!!!!!

punched paper strip

by m_johnson In reply to A Breeze compared to....

My first program was holes punched on long strip of paper. Had to figure out how much fuel to eject to land on the moon. After that it was the 80-column cards. I was too late for the 96-columns. Don't ever drop a COBOL program punched from cards!
