Good day.
I was just wondering of anyone could help me with formulating a topic for our thesis proposal. I have been thinking a lot lately and nothing has come to my mind yet. Can anyone help me? This is quite urgent.

Comparative Religion

by john.a.wills In reply to Thesis Research Topics

ought to be a comparison of the different answers different religions or different churches give to certain questions. But it isn't, because the different religions are by and large answering different questions. We need a common language in which to formulate the different questions. Perhaps better put: we need a common set of questions to which the (often unstated) questions the different religions are answering are reactions, or of which their questions are perhaps preliminary answers. Let your thesis be the formulation of such a language.

"Why People Poll Strangers for Thesis Topics"

by CharlieSpencer In reply to Thesis Research Topics

I assume you're a sociology major; an IT / CSci major should have learned to be more specific, and you didn't express yourself well enough to have majored in one of the arts.

Hey now....I resemble that remark

by JamesRL In reply to PoliSci?

I studied PoliSci, many years ago. There was a science aspect in terms of measureing things to prove or disprove a thesis.

If we didn't have a good topic, one would be assigned to us by the prof, and often it would be something he was working on for his next book.

Well when I went to University

by HAL 9000 Moderator In reply to Thesis Research Topics

And we where required to write a dissertation it was supposed to be related in some way to what we where studding.

So as such I wouldn't be writing a dissertation on the way that Byron used the English Language when I was studding Mechanical Engineering. Granted it's been a very long time since I was at University but I would hazard a guess that the same rules still apply so I would suggest writing something about what it is you are studding not a completely unrelated field.

And as you didn't bother to tell us what you where studding there is no way for anyone to help you other than saying something along the lines of Ask the Professor who is your study chief or whatever they are now called on what ideas they have.

Failing that there is always why does no one understand that the Answer to the Meaning of Life the Universe and Everything is 42.

It's because no one has really bothered to look at the question they are too busy looking for an answer to understand what it is that they are actually asking.
