ThinkPad 365x/xd does not boot properly.

By tedbruce ·
An IBM ThinkPad 365x/xd when turned on will progress through the IBM startup screen, show the windows desktop momentarily then go back to the IBM startup screen. The progress bar goes to the end then the system shuts off! Any ideas?

for what you say, may be a memory problem, but in a notebook, could be battery or energy administering with problems. If your problems persist, try the next: try if this start in Safe Mode, start regedit, and save the registry en c with a recognizable name, then start in DOS mode, and type in the command prompt c:\regedit /c <namefile>, it will recovery your registry, sometimes when you have memory problems or startup errors, it?s help and recover the OS.
Hope it helps you
