I’ve just joined, mainly because I have a question regarding a thinkpad x31 that I am considering buying. It boots up ok apparently but shows 0192 hardware tamper detection.
There is no harddrive, battery or ram which suggests to me it has been stripped out. Does this sugggest that it is effectively unrepairable, stolen or perhaps both. Or is it something simple that can be solved with some tweaking. I’ve not used a thinkpad before so I am just learning about all of the features. Unfortunately I have not been able to locate any specific info about hardware detection or how to deal with this problem. I would very much appreciate any pointers, Thanks.
