This place is golden

By santeewelding ·
Probably because eleven+ years ago it was set up along the lines of the small township where I grew up.

Only two cops, in the only two town cruisers, were active at a time, and the little public station closed after five. SWAT had not been invented.

TR is no longer a small town. TR needs SWAT.

But, it still leaves the front door unlocked, like where I grew up. Although I like that aspect -- for that, TR is golden -- I want SWAT for DOS.

DOS -- Denial Of Service -- is what in effect full-auto spammers are doing.

My economic well-being does not depend on TR. The well-being of my heart and mind, does. That's another reason why the TR Forum and the people here are golden to me. DOS hurts that.

Does DOS threaten the economic well-being of TR? I don't know. I lately heard a grumbling about that. You know: hits. I can think of no other reason why jimmychoo789 is of moments ago, undead.

That reason, and that there is no SWAT.

Far as I know, there are still only two cops in the only two cruisers (you know who they are; both part-time), and the station closes at five.

That at any moment

the lights could go out, leaving TR inaccessible, suggests that this place is inadequate to the well-being of any heart and mind.

The beauty of small towns

Is also it's befalling.

The trust offered is often abused, but the townsfolk would prefer to leave the trust open for those who have a less abusive nature.

'Tis a sad story.

An active, ongoing story of how we are. Can't be sad, 'cause it's the only story we have.
