I,like everybody I know, do not live in fear of guns.

Fear is a terrible waste of a good life. If you live in fear, you have no freedom. You cannot enjoy a good rack of baby backs. You are too busy worrying about someone who lives with hatred taking control of your life.
Guess what. He already has.
I kill fear by providing myself a defense against someone who thinks my Flat screen is worth more than my life. I breathe easily. This punk will NOT ruin my life, even though he has probably already ruined his.

Fear.

I don't live in fear of guns, those with guns, or those who covet my personal possessions. So far I've had no demonstrable reason to worry about any of them. Drunk drivers, yes; but since it isn't legal to shoot them first and test their blood alcohol later...

i dont live in fear of guns

i'm more afraid of the people with guns....because unless you're out in the back woods hunting dear and such, i do not see the purpose for putting your own life and someone elses at risk for what could potentially be a "stupid" moment that will be regrettabe either way you look at it.

maybe 0:-) would that be a bad thing ? In all fairness, he used to hunt and he kept his guns here in his home. Then he met me. I asked that they be kept elsewhere, my girls were young and they weren't raised in a home where there were guns; i didn't think they would understand. He took them out of the house, making me a very happy lady :) . Now, if I really feel the need to use one, I do know how to get my hands on one pretty quick!

Well personally

I find people who hide behind firearms to be the most gutless individuals that I have ever had the misfortune to run across. If there is a legal need for them to carry a weapon and here I don't mean Police on General Duties they may be passable but those who have to carry a Firearm of any description just for the sake of caring one to show off are the Fools that I despise.

The point of the matter from my experience though is those who Hide Behind a weapon are the ones who get hurt by their weapon and those who are fearless of people don't need a weapon of any description to begin with.

I remember one idiot Police Officer that did a Stop & Search on my car one day and he proceeded to stick a service revolver in my face before he said a word. I wouldn't return his Pistol as he was a idiot and a very Dangerous Idiot.

How dare any fool shove a loaded weapon in my face for the fun of it.

And that...

was the start of the carnivorous plants, right?
*wink wink*
Don't worry, mum's the word

Pretty stupid to shove a ranged weapon into someone else's reach, to say nothing of why the fluck he would even want to.

Afraid not

I was actually returning with some Imported Carnivores from the Quarantine Station.

As for the cop in question I'm not really sure why he did that but it really Pi$$ed me off in a big way. I did give the weapon to the Sergent at the Road Block and he was quite nice about the mess that his underling created needlessly I might add.

But at the start things got more than a bit interesting as the cop in question ran away crying that I had taken his weapon off him. I just left it in the center console after turning the safety back on.

Some people are idiots and if what was eventually said as an excuse, if anything made things much worse. Apparently they where looking for a Bank Robber who had held up a bank 5 hours earlier that day. Their description was that they drove away in a Red Car. That only covers about 35% of the cars on the road at any single time here back then, but the idiot walked up and stuck his arm in the window so if I was the Bank Robber he was already dead before I took away his weapon. Oh and as I was driving a 5 Ton Truck at the time I failed to see any resemblance to the cars description that I was driving.

The funny thing is that I had a brief case on the back of the trucks Cab with a pistol in it as I was returning from dropping off a Payroll when I collected the plants from the Quarantine Station. I neglected to mention that small unimportant fact when things where settled. :^0

That sounds like an excellent way

by CharlieSpencer In reply to Well personally

for someone to have his arm grabbed while the car window rolls up on it and the driver accelerates.
