Three computers cant see each other

By Chrispo2 ·
I have three computers that are on the same network two are wireless one is not. I have disabled all windows firewalls and just uninstalled nortons on the computers. When I ping one from another they arent able to see each other, however when I ping Yahoo from any of them I get results so my connection is good, I am also able to ping the Dlink router as well and get a replay. I am not sure what else to try.

Lost& confused
Thank you

Well if these are Windows computers

And on a Peer to Peer Workgroup you need to enable File & Printer Sharing and in the case of the Wired and Wireless ones go into the DLink Setup and Bridge the 2 LAN's so that they are able to communicate with each other.

If you just enable File & Printer Sharing the WiFi ones will see each other and the Wired one will remain Invisible as the 2 different Local Area Networks are not set to communicate with each other even though they both reside in the same case.

These computers also need to be in the Same Workgroup as each other as well and you can run the Network Setup Wizards in Windows to set the required parameters.

If these Computers are part of a Business Domain you should speak to the IT Staff who Administer the Domain as running the Network Setup Wizard on the Wried computer and the Wireless Network Setup Wizard on the WiFi ones will delete the Domain Connection.
