Thumbs Up and Thumbs Dn in Forum postings

I wonder if it would help maintain the legibility of a posted topic – if people did not have to post a whole message just to say “Good”, “Great” ect.. and instead just clicked on the Thumbs Up icon – just like we do in presently in Questions answered.

I’m waiting for my web browser to refresh just so I can see one word when I was hoping to read a comment with some substance.
