Today 28th July 2004 techrepublic published an article and download of tightvnc, a free remote control software.
It allows control on LAN, WAN, remote PCs with a public IP address.
It is similar to pcanywhere, MS remote desktop.
Be aware: there is NO 1.2.5 version.
The latest stable version is 1.2.9.
The latest development version is 1.3dev5.
The latest development version has file trasfer facility.
It works well on ADSL broadband connection.
It seems better than RealVNC, the original makers of VNC.
